Rae Failing- Communications and Process Support

Rae provides [Communications and Process Support] for the team. She has a degree in political science and a background in public policy and brings a sharp analytical lens to the project as well as a natural perceptiveness about social and political dynamics. In addition to her work in watershed planning and Indigenous governance, Rae conducts research, policy analysis and decision structuring in support of multistakeholder planning and adaptive management processes for water, forests and fisheries.

With a background in circus arts, Rae’s approach to workshop design and facilitation is guided by her passion for bringing creativity and play into collective processes. Rae believes in the power of challenging conversations and listening to learn. She leads with full-body listening skills and a commitment to creating inclusive and empowering spaces. Rae is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the Koksilah Planning Process and to learn from local community members and leaders.
