Jessica Doyle- Water Protection Section Head in the West Coast Region
Jessica is a mother, life-long learner, nature, and outdoor enthusiast who is currently the Water Protection Section Head in the West Coast Region of the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship. Jessica is a Professional Geoscientist with a background and expertise in Hydrogeology and sustainable water management. Following an early career in exploration geology, Jessica completed a Master of Science in Hydrogeology, focusing on groundwater sustainability in Gibsons, BC. After several years in consulting, Jessica became a Regional Hydrogeologist for the Province in 2015.
In January 2020, Jessica took a temporary assignment as the Water Protection Section Head position for 6 months. During this time, she was on the Koksilah WSP Scoping G2G Steering Committee. Her experience of being on the G2G committee and working in partnership and collaboratively with Cowichan Tribes inspired her continue in the Section Head position permanently to be able to continue supporting this important work and similar water management initiatives across the Region.
